Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen recuitment event - AC03/02/2026

Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen Coroner’s Service will be recruiting Assistant Coroners as part of the 2026 recruitment process.

To support those interested in applying, we are hosting an Aspiring Assistant Coroners Event:

Date: Wednesday, 25 February 2026

Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Preston Coroner’s Court, 2 Faraday Court, Faraday Drive, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9NB. Parking is available.

The event will provide:

•            Insight into the day-to-day role of a Coroner

•            An overview of the jurisdiction of Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen

•            Guidance on the recruitment process

•            An opportunity to meet our Senior Coroner, Mr Christopher Long, and Area Coroners, Miss Kate Bisset and Mrs Emma Mather
