Position Title: Head of Registrars and Coroners

Salary: SS1, £62,531 to £67,676 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 35 per week

Work Location: Heron House, Lloyd Street, Manchester, M2 5LE

Work Pattern: Mon - Fri (subject to service need occasional Saturdays for ceremonies)

Our Manchester vision is for a city where we have a service from both our Registrars and Coroners that dovetail and work together. The role holder is the senior strategic lead and subject matter expert for the Registration and Coroners Service, providing leadership and overall accountability for both services.

We need someone who is passionate about service delivery to head the service for our Registrars provision and our Coroners service. Someone who has excellent interpersonal and management skills to work with our communities to ensure we provide a personal and sensitive service helping navigate and deliver key life events for residents. You will be a confident communicator who can represent and champion both services at a regional and national level.

We are entering a time when the services will come together in our magnificent town hall as it is refurbished and will prove a time of team working and the services coming together giving fantastic opportunities for the teams to work as one.

It is a great opportunity for the successful applicant to be part of the Chief Executives management team and work with the City Solicitor to lead and be involved with corporate priorities.
